1 – Who are we?

CEIS-Forward Global is a simplified joint-stock company with a capital of €31,576,704, registered with the Trade and Companies Registry of Paris under number 835004094, and with its registered office located at 17 Avenue Hoche, 75008 PARIS. We are the data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “GDPR”) for the collection and processing of cookies on the website https://www.vauban-sessions.org/.

2 – What are the main regulations governing the deposit and use of cookies?

Several European and national texts regulate the use and deposit of cookies. Although not exhaustive, this list aims to inform you about the main applicable regulations and, if necessary, allow you to access and be aware of these regulatory texts.

• Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 July 2002 concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (privacy and electronic communications directive), as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 amending Directive 2002/22/EC on universal service and users’ rights relating to electronic communications networks and services
• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“GDPR”). This European regulation aims to ensure a consistent and high level of protection for individuals and to remove obstacles to the flow of personal data within the European Union. However, it leaves room for EU Member States to specify its rules.
• Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files, and freedoms. This French law incorporates the key principles of the aforementioned regulation while providing rights and obligations specific to France in the field of personal data protection, in accordance with the flexibility provided by the regulation. This law also specifies the missions and powers of the CNIL, the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties.
• Deliberation No. 2020-091 and Recommendation No. 2020-092 of 17 September 2020 adopting guidelines on the application of Article 82 of the amended law of 6 January 1978 to operations involving the reading or writing of information to a user’s terminal (including cookies and other trackers)

3 – What is a cookie, and what cookies are used and deposited on this website?

A “cookie” is a small piece of information sent to the User’s browser and stored on the User’s terminal (e.g., computer, smartphone). The information stored by cookies includes pages visited, the type of browser you use, your IP address, and possibly the information you have entered on a site to save you from entering it again.
